PostNL
PostNL integration

PostNL labels straight from your warehouse.

For online stores and fulfilment companies shipping with PostNL. Labels, returns and pickup points straight from your pack flow, no separate PostNL portal.

Free up to 100 pick lists a month · No credit card · Your data, exportable

How you connect PostNL

Four steps between your PostNL account and a printed label.

01
Connect your PostNL account

Enter your PostNL API key, customer code and customer number. Switch straight to sandbox or production.

02
Set up your shipping profile

Choose Netherlands or Belgium, an insured amount, and whether pickup-point delivery is an option at pack time.

03
Label prints automatically

The moment you scan the pick list, Tremo creates the PostNL label (PDF or ZPL) and sends it to the connected printer.

04
Your customer tracks the parcel

The track & trace link to jouw.postnl.nl is added automatically. No manual email needed.

Where a PostNL shipping process breaks down

Four pain points we hear from online stores and fulfilment companies, and what Tremo does about each one.

  1. Building every return label by hand takes time

Tremo creates the PostNL return label with reversed addresses: the customer as sender, your warehouse as recipient. A built-in check stops you paying for the same label twice.

  2. Customers in Belgium expect a local delivery experience

Tremo converts your NL product code to the BE variant automatically (standard 3085 becomes 4946, for example), so you ship to Belgium without a separate setup.

  3. Not every parcel belongs at the door, but choosing costs an extra step

Pick a PostNL pickup point or parcel locker right when you pack, with an optional email or phone notification to your customer.

  4. Shipping an expensive parcel feels like a risk

Set an insured amount up to € 5000 on the shipment. Tremo checks the amount is filled in correctly before the label gets created.

What the PostNL integration does

Directly with PostNL, no middle layer. This runs from your pack flow.

Labels ready to print

PDF or ZPL, sent automatically to your connected label printer. Scan the pick list and the label is ready, no separate PostNL portal to open.

Return labels with reversed address

Customer as sender, your warehouse as recipient. A built-in guard stops a double click from creating a second, paid label.

Netherlands and Belgium

Ship to both countries with automatic product code conversion. Separate BE-only profile codes are available too.

Pickup point or parcel locker

Choose the PostNL location while packing, with an optional email or phone notification to your customer.

Insured up to € 5000

Set the insured amount per shipment. Tremo validates the amount before the label is created.

Automatic track & trace

Every shipment gets a link to jouw.postnl.nl. Your customer doesn't have to ask where the parcel is.

Frequently asked questions

What online stores and fulfilment companies ask us about the PostNL integration.

Does this work for international shipments?+
Right now the integration supports the Netherlands and Belgium, with automatic product code conversion. Other countries ship through your MyParcel connection, not the direct PostNL integration.
Can I cancel a PostNL label if I made a mistake?+
No, cancelling a PostNL label isn't possible. You create a new label instead; the old one just goes unused.
Can I offer evening delivery?+
Not yet. Evening delivery exists as an option in PostNL's catalogue but isn't wired into the label call yet. That needs a delivery-promise flow we haven't built.
Can I combine multiple parcels into one label?+
No. Every shipment gets exactly one PostNL label. For an order with multiple parcels, create a separate shipment per parcel.
How do I connect my PostNL account?+
Under Settings → Integrations → PostNL, enter your API key, customer code and customer number. You also pick sandbox or production and your sender address there.

Ship directly through PostNL.
